Can I narrate with my own voice, or with my ElevenLabs voices?
Short answer: Yes, on a paid plan. Connect your own ElevenLabs account and every voice in it appears in the voice list, including a voice cloned from your own. ElevenLabs bills that narration to you; it costs no extra credits here.
What you need
- A paid VideoPolisher plan.
- Your own ElevenLabs account. To use a voice from the ElevenLabs voice library, or a cloned voice, ElevenLabs asks for one of its paid plans.
Connect the account
- In ElevenLabs, open Developers, then API keys, and create a key. Give it access to Text to Speech, Voices (read) and User (read).
- In VideoPolisher, open the account page and find Connected accounts.
- Choose Connect ElevenLabs, paste the key and choose Check and connect.
The key is checked with ElevenLabs, stored encrypted and never shown again. You can replace it or disconnect at any time.
Use a voice
In a project's settings, set the voice provider to ElevenLabs. The list shows the voices in your account. Choose Listen to hear a sample before you pick one.
Your own voice
Clone your voice in ElevenLabs first (Voices, then Add a voice). It then appears in the list here, marked as your cloned voice. Only clone a voice you have the right to use.
What it costs
The narration is billed by ElevenLabs to your ElevenLabs account, by the character. The credits for a video here do not change.
Without an ElevenLabs account
The standard voices are included on every plan and need no setup.
